Trusting Him reflections

Trudy

This piece isn’t finished yet – maybe there’s a certain beauty in sharing that too. I felt to capture a little girl bringing an odd, worthless object (a coke bottle lid, or a rock) to God. It’s like me, I have nothing of worth to offer Him, but still laying everything I have at His feet. And His response as I painted was so beautiful reminding me I am of worth.

He doesn’t ignore us, throw it into the trash, or scold us for wasting His time. He rejoices with us, over the simplicity of every discovery with Him, and of the beauty of laying down what we have. “As a Father shows compassion to His children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear Him. For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust” (Psalm 103:13-14).”

“My clay figure is kneeling in prayer, hands open – my expression of letting go to trust God and His ways.”

Sophie

“While thinking of words or phrases which would create an acrostic of TRUST, I was aware of the Holy Spirit broadening out my appreciation and understanding of what it means to really trust God.”

Pauline

Let us take hold in a timeless moment

Let us be absorbed into His Holy presence

Let us surrender, feeling every fibre of our being, every cell of who we are

Let the power of His love overwhelm us in to His glory.
