Happy December.
As we start this new month with the Christmas season here I wonder what the word ‘season’ means to you?
In our last creativity session we reflected on this word and how God created seasons and that every season is for a God appointed time. Whilst winter may not be a favourite for some of us in the UK, it is in fact a special season of preparation. In nature there is much beauty to behold in winter – the cold morning frosts, the robin in a tree. I am often reminded that though we can’t see it, much is happening underground in preparation for spring. This can be a metaphor for our own lives that God is with us in every season of our life and we can always find beauty if we look for it and grow as we trust in Him.
As we prepare to celebrate our Saviour’s birth this Advent season let us reflect on the peace, love and hope Jesus brought into the world.
‘For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given.‘ Isaiah 9:6 23:2-3
During a recent creativity session one participant shared their creative expression to the theme ‘seasons’ and what it meant for them.
‘For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven’. Ecclesiastes 3:1
