My Rock
God, a rock, solid and firm,
immovable.
All else trembles like leaves in
Autumn breezes,
like sand pushed and pulled on seashores.
But you stand firm,
still,
still,
firm forever.

Inspired by Psalm 62 v1-2 and Psalm 61 v2
Exodus 17….
The people were thirsty, desperate, complaining
Moses cried out, listened, obeyed
God spoke, responded, answered
The rock was struck, water gushed forth.
Jesus, the rock, my strength, my tower
My fortress, Saviour and Lord
Giver of living water, healing, security, and hope
My thirst quenched, strength returned, confidence restored
Keep me, ears open and eyes alert
Always crying out, listening, watching, obeying
Feet planted, firmly rooted in the rock,
MY LORD
