“As I was meditating on the scriptures in Psalm 139, I was trying to think how I could possibly express the wondrous things I’m reading about in a picture. And I realise I could not, but I can show how it makes my heart feel. Knowing Jesus fills my heart with so much joy, even if I don’t always understand! He is too high! He is God! And He makes my heart come alive.”

“I’m not sure why, but I decided to follow the theme of the teddy bear. I also looked up the YLT (Young’s literal translation) of Ps139:5 Behind and before Thou hast besieged me, And Thou dost place on me Thy hand.
I recently had a fall and have been being treated for back pain. The teddy represents to me, Besieged by the Wondrous Love of God, with His hand upon me!!”

“What does the scripture mean to me, Psalm 139 vs 5b, You lay your hand upon me?
The colours I chose to write the scripture had meaning and depth to me. Blue represented God’s healing water, gold signified Refiner’s fire and purity and green meant choosing life. These colours bought connection as a gateway to my own expression of reflecting the scripture.
Words came forth 30 in all and another 20 words the next day. I woke in the night and considered some of these words as safe, secure, warm, held and quietened. A great peace enveloped me to enable me to fall back to sleep. The picture of the contented weaned child of Psalm 131 depicted this.
I pondered the word ‘trusted’ about choosing to trust Jesus with my fears and how my vulnerability is precious to Him. This changes everything!”
